I track my students’ progress through the online assessment tool Teaching Strategies GOLD. ![]() Young students grow so much from month to month, even day to day, that is important to stay vigilant of what they know and what they need. Every moment in Preschool is an opportunity for observation. I observe my students throughout the day – how they interact with me and their peers, how they play in centers, how they solve problems, how they interact with books, and more. My primary method of assessment is observation. Of course, I do not mean #2 pencil, choose the correct bubble assessments, but rather I observe and interact with my students to determine where they are, what they need, and what the next steps are.
